• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Jerry Edwards -- An especially well-written volume of Rick's Saga!!! : I most enjoyed the sections dealing with Rick buying land in Australia and the discoveries he made of the gold, water, and oil on his land. I liked how he worked out how to connect the various ranches into one huge spread. I especially love how he came up with a way to prevent the Australian government from stealing his land and discoveries. I also loved how Ed has developed the space travel story line to the point that it is very reasonable the steps that are being taken in that exploration. I still love the coming-of-age period of the early books best, but I feel this is the most complete book on Rick that Ed has written. Ed covered all facets that make this series special - family, friends, inventions, exploration, and the ever-present bad luck as far as romantic relationships. I loved the section of the strong hint that J.R. EWING might have been involved in the Kennedy assassination attempt ... a nice tweak of the WHO SHOT J.R.? plot on DALLAS to WHO DID J.R. HIRE TO SHOOT WHO? ... The editing and proofreading and printing of the hardcover edition (which is what I buy) was very near perfect; much better than book 13!!! I hope to see book 15 within a couple of months as Ed has done for the past few books!! This is one of my top favorite book series of all the various fiction I've read the past over 60 years!!! Well done Ed ... and special kudos to your wife and proofreading team ... you all hit it out of the park in this book! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2021 )

• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Thomas A. Lamparty -- Another great story! : Rick goes to Australia to get some rest and stay out of the limelight for a while! We can guess how that works out. To start he finds the Aussie version of Jackson house, complete with untouched vault. Then he goes on a buying spree for a really large outback station! On a trip to see Ayers rock, he discover a lost gold mine that makes the lost Dutchman mine look really small potatoes! The Chinese space program is really taking off, and much more! At one point I think I read 2 books in one day. I have just finished book 15 and it has been a delight. On a cautionary note this author has the standard misspellings and grammar errors of an indie author although not as many as some. He does break new ground in partial sentences, missing or random punctuation, and frustrating Kindle formatting problems. Don't let that deter you though. The story is very much fun. While might stretch the boundaries of what is probable, it makes an awesome story . One can only imagine the research to allow the timeline to come together.
